Main Ingredient

Seasoning for Steak

Roasted Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the New York Strip Steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried rosemary on both sides. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Roasted Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prep the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and halve the baby potatoes, then place them in a bowl.

  2. 4

    Season the Potatoes

Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil, and season with salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Toss until evenly coated.

  3. 5

    Roast the Potatoes

Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and tender, flipping halfway through.

Preparing the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 6

    Steam or Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, add a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasonal vegetables and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender yet crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
