Dirty Chai Preparation

Brew the Chai
In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add 2 chai tea bags and let steep for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the Espresso
While the chai is steeping, prepare 1 shot of espresso or strong coffee.

Combine Ingredients
Remove the tea bags from the saucepan. Stir in 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, and optional cardamom and vanilla extract. Heat the mixture gently until warm, but do not boil.

Add Espresso
Pour the espresso into a large mug. Then pour the chai mixture over the espresso.
