Directions
1. Prepare the Sumac
In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
2. Steep the Sumac
Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of dried sumac berries. Remove from heat and let steep for about 15-20 minutes.
3. Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a teapot or serving pitcher.
4. Sweeten the Tea
Add honey or your preferred sweetener to taste, stirring well to combine.
5. Serve
Serve hot or chilled over ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
