Prepare the Edamame
Rinse the edamame beans under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

Boil Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Add Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add the rinsed edamame beans to the pot.

Steam the Edamame
Cover the pot and let the edamame steam for about 5 minutes, or until the pods are tender.

Drain and Season
Carefully drain the edamame in a colander and return them to the pot. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt and toss to coat evenly.

Serve
Transfer the seasoned edamame to a serving bowl and enjoy them warm or at room temperature.
