Pork Belly

Tostada Assembly

Method

Cooking the Pork Belly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Belly

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Season the pork belly with salt, black pepper, cumin, and garlic powder. Rub the spices thoroughly into the meat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork Belly

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear the pork belly on all sides until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes). Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 2-2.5 hours until tender.

  3. 3

    Rest and Slice

Remove the pork belly from the oven, let it rest for 15 minutes, then slice into bite-sized cubes.

Making the Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare the Salad

In a bowl, mix the sliced red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss well and set aside to marinate.

Assembling the Tostadas

  1. 5

    Assemble the Tostadas

On each corn tostada, place a generous amount of the cooked pork belly cubes, followed by a sprinkle of Santa Fe queso. Top with the Alium cilantro lime salad mixture.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately while the tostadas are crispy. Enjoy your Pork Belly Tostadas!
