Prepare the glasses
Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rim into salt to coat it lightly.

Blend the margarita
In a blender, combine the fresh lime juice, tequila, triple sec, ice cubes, and agave syrup (if using). Blend until smooth and slushy.

Serve
Pour the blended margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedges if desired.
