Syrup Preparation

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water.

Add Flavorings
Once the sugar has dissolved, add 2 tsp of vanilla extract and 1 tsp of ground cardamom to the mixture.

Simmer
Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.

Cool and Store
Let the syrup cool before transferring it to a clean bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Latte Preparation

Brew Espresso
Brew 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, stovetop, etc.).

Heat Milk
In a separate saucepan or using a steam wand, heat 1 cup of milk until hot but not boiling. Froth the milk if desired.

Combine Espresso and Syrup
In a large cup or mug, combine the brewed espresso with 2 tablespoons of the prepared vanilla and cardamom syrup.

Add Milk
Pour the heated milk into the espresso mixture, stirring gently to combine.

Garnish
Sprinkle a pinch of ground cardamom on top for garnish before serving.
