Method

For the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the Old Bay seasoning and salt to the boiling water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the shrimp to the pot. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

  3. 3

    Chill the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the pot and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5-10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain the Shrimp

After chilling, drain the shrimp and pat them dry with paper towels.

For the Cocktail Sauce

  1. 5

    Mix the Sauce Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.

  2. 6

    Adjust Seasoning

Taste the sauce and add hot sauce if desired. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

For Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Shrimp

Arrange the chilled shrimp on a serving platter.

  2. 8

    Serve with Sauce

Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side and garnish with lemon wedges.
