Method

Tea Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a kettle, bring 12 oz of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water has boiled, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 1-2 minutes to reach the ideal temperature (around 175°F). Place 2 tsp of jasmine green tea in a teapot or a heatproof container.

  3. 3

    Add Water

Pour the hot water over the tea leaves in the teapot.

  4. 4

    Steep Time

Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Do not over-steep, as it can lead to bitterness.

  5. 5

    Strain Tea

After steeping, strain the tea into a cup or a serving can.

Sweetening (Optional)

  1. 6

    Add Sweetener

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of honey or 1 teaspoon of sugar to the strained tea and stir well until dissolved.

Garnishing (Optional)

  1. 7

    Garnish

Add a slice of lemon and a few mint leaves on top for added aroma and flavor.
