Method

Preparing the Donut Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted unsalted butter until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently fold together until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Baking the Donuts

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. 5

    Fill Donut Pan

Spoon the donut batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.

  3. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  4. 7

    Cool

Remove the donuts from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  1. 8

    Prepare Cinnamon Sugar

In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  2. 9

    Coat Donuts

While the donuts are still warm, roll each one in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
