Method
House-Made Blueberry Bae Syrup
- 1
Prepare the Blueberry Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh blueberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water. Stir well to combine.
- 2
Cook the Syrup
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the blueberries burst and the mixture thickens slightly.
- 3
Strain the Syrup
Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing the blueberries to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
- 4
Store the Syrup
Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then transfer it to a clean bottle or jar. This syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
