Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Preparing the Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until the ingredients are just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal parts and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patty

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, add a cheese slice on top, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 6

    Layer Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a tomato slice, the cooked beef patty with melted cheese, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
