Pork Chop

Peach Bourbon Sauce

Method

Pork Chop Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork Chops

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Pork Chops

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the seasoned pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Peach Bourbon Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Start the Sauce

In the same skillet used for the pork chops, add the diced peaches and cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.

  2. 4

    Add Bourbon and Other Ingredients

Carefully pour in the bourbon and apple cider vinegar, stirring well to combine. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger, and a pinch of salt to the mixture.

  3. 5

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the sauce to a simmer. Allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly and the peaches are tender.

  4. 6

    Finish the Sauce

Add the butter to the sauce and stir until melted and well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

  5. 7

    Combine and Serve

Return the seared pork chops to the skillet with the sauce. Spoon the sauce over the pork chops and let them cook together for an additional 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
