Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Baking Dish

Grease a baking dish with a bit of butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Make the Stuffing

  1. 3

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chopped onion, celery, and red bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables with breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well. If the mixture is too dry, add more melted butter as needed.

Stuff the Flounder

  1. 5

    Stuff the Fillets

Place a flounder fillet on a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the stuffing mixture onto the center of the fillet. Fold the fillet over the stuffing and place it seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Repeat with the remaining fillets.

Bake the Dish

  1. 6

    Add Topping and Bake

Sprinkle paprika over the stuffed flounder for added flavor and color. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serve

  1. 7

    Plate and Garnish

Remove the flounder from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
