Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Remove the ribeye steaks from the fridge and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps them cook evenly.
- 2
Season the Steak
Season both sides of the steaks with salt and black pepper generously.
- 3
- 4
Rest the Steak
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate for 5-10 minutes.
Garlic Butter Preparation
- 5
Make Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic cloves, chopped fresh parsley, and a pinch of salt. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- 6
Fries Preparation
- 7
Cut the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to make fries.
- 8
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- 9
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 10
Fry the Potatoes
Fry the potatoes in batches, cooking until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
- 11
Drain and Season
Remove fries from oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.
