Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

1

Mixing the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.

2

Forming the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger Patty

3

Preheating the Grill/Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or the pan to prevent sticking.

4

Cooking the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assembling the Burger

5

Preparing the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the hamburger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

6

Adding Toppings

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by a slice of tomato. Once the patties are cooked, place one patty on top of the tomato for each burger.

7

Adding Special Sauce

Drizzle 1 tablespoon of the special sauce on top of each patty, then cover with the top half of the bun.
