Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Rinse the Brussels sprouts under cold water, trim the ends, and remove any discolored outer leaves. Cut each sprout in half lengthwise.
- 3
Seasoning
In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to ensure all sprouts are evenly coated.
Roasting
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded for even roasting.
- 5
Roast
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the outside. Toss halfway through cooking for even browning.
Finishing Touches
- 6
Add Parmesan
Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot sprouts. Toss gently to combine.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and drizzle with additional balsamic glaze if desired. Enjoy while hot!
