Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, pork sausage, breadcrumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned.
- 4
Prepare the Tomato Sauce
While the meatballs are baking, heat your favorite tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
- 5
Whip the Ricotta
In a small bowl, whip the ricotta cheese with a fork until creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Serve
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the warmed tomato sauce and let simmer for a few minutes. Serve the meatballs in sauce with a dollop of whipped ricotta and a side of house bread.
