Olio Smoked Salmon Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potato Hash Brown

Grate the potatoes and rinse them under cold water. Squeeze out excess moisture and mix with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the potato mixture, and press down to form a hash brown. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Soft Boil the Eggs

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the eggs and boil for 6-7 minutes for soft-boiled. Remove from heat, transfer to an ice bath to cool, then peel and set aside.

  3. 3

    Fry the Capers

In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if necessary and heat over medium-high. Add the capers and fry until crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Avocado Dill Crema

In a bowl, mash the avocado and mix with cream cheese, fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste until smooth and creamy.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, layer the potato hash brown, top with pieces of smoked salmon, soft boiled eggs cut in half, fried capers, and thinly sliced red onions. Serve with a dollop of avocado dill crema on the side.
