    Pat the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

    Heat the Pan

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

    Sear the Tuna

    Carefully place the tuna steaks in the hot skillet. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you prefer it more cooked.

    In the last minute of cooking, drizzle the lemon juice over the tuna steaks.
