Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Shape the beef into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and top each with a slice of American cheese. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked burger patty on top, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove fries from the oil and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Fries

Sprinkle the hot fries with salt to taste and serve alongside the burgers.
