Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling a rocks glass by filling it with ice water. Set it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine 1 oz of gin, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 1 oz of Campari.

Add Ice
Add about a cup of ice to the mixing glass or shaker to chill the mixture.

Stir the Cocktail
Using a bar spoon or a long spoon, stir the mixture for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.

Prepare the Glass
Discard the ice water from the chilled rocks glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.

Garnish
Garnish with a slice of orange peel. You can express the oils from the peel by gently twisting it over the drink before placing it in the glass.
