Mix the Patty Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

Form the Burger Patty
Shape the beef mixture into a round patty about 3/4 inch thick.

Add Cheese
After flipping, place the American cheese slice on top of the patty and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the patty is cooked to your desired doneness.
Assemble the Cheeseburger

Prepare the Bun
While the patty is cooking, slice the hamburger bun in half and toast it lightly if desired.

Add Toppings
Once the patty is done, place it on the bottom half of the bun. Top it with a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and two slices of pickles.

Cover with the top half of the bun, press down lightly, and your Junior Cheeseburger is ready to serve.
