Prepare the Filling
Layer the slices of cheese, bacon or ham, lettuce, and tomato on two slices of bread. If using tomato, slice it into thin rounds and layer it on top of the lettuce.

Prepare the Flour and Breadcrumbs
Place the all-purpose flour in one shallow dish and the breadcrumbs in another.

Assemble the Sandwich
Top the filling with the remaining slices of bread to form two sandwiches.
