Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all ingredients and ensure everything is prepped, including trimming asparagus and mincing garlic.

  2. 2

    Sear the Filet Mignon

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the filet mignon with salt and black pepper. Sear each side for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

  3. 3

    Cook the Asparagus

In the same skillet, add asparagus and minced garlic. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until the asparagus is tender but still crisp. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

In the skillet, add beef broth and red wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Stir in butter and chopped parsley into the sauce. Plate the filet mignon topped with asparagus and drizzle the sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
