Crispy Chicken Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Crispy Chicken Sandwich Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In a shallow dish, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Set aside.
- 3
Make the Sriracha Aioli
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sriracha until well combined. Adjust the spiciness to taste.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess liquid drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, coating well. Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the burger buns lightly. Spread a generous amount of sriracha aioli on the bottom bun. Add a piece of fried chicken, a slice of Tillamook cheddar, a few spiced dill pickles, and a leaf of lettuce. Top with the other half of the bun.
- 6
Serve
Serve the crispy chicken sandwich hot with your favorite side.
