Panna Cotta
Method
Panna Cotta Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 3 tablespoons of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.
- 2
Heat the Cream and Milk
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is warm, but do not let it boil.
- 3
Add White Chocolate
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chopped white chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- 4
Incorporate Gelatin
Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm cream mixture and stir until fully dissolved. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5
Pour into Molds
Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving molds or cups. Let them cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- 6
Chill
Once cooled, cover the molds with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
