Prepare the Coffee Mixture

Brew the Espresso
Brew 400ml of strong espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

Mix with Liqueur
If using, add 60ml of coffee liqueur to the cooled espresso and stir well.
Make the Mascarpone Mixture

Whip the Cream
In a large bowl, whip 300ml of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Mix Egg Yolks and Sugar
In another bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 100g of granulated sugar until pale and creamy.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold 500g of mascarpone cheese and 1 tsp of vanilla extract into the egg yolk mixture until smooth.

Combine Mixtures
Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Assemble the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, create a layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by a layer of mascarpone mixture. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone mixture on top.
Chill and Serve

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
