Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheese Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and grated parmesan cheese. Mix well until fully combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the marinara sauce, add dried oregano, and season with salt and black pepper. Stir and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked penne pasta with the marinara sauce. Add in the cheese mixture and mix gently until the pasta is coated evenly.

  3. 5

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the pasta mixture to a half pan (or a 9x13 inch baking dish).

  4. 6

    Add Toppings

Sprinkle the extra shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta. Add chopped fresh basil for flavor.

  5. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Three-Cheese Pasta!
