Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Mix Meatball Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Form Meatballs
Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake Meatballs
Bake meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

Combine Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

Simmer Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer while the meatballs are baking, stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes.

Cook Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.

Drain Spaghetti
Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set aside.
Assembly

Combine Meatballs with Sauce
Once the meatballs are done, add them to the sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with additional grated parmesan cheese if desired.
