Beef Zabuton

Prepare the Beef
Season the beef zabuton with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Slow Cook the Beef
Transfer the seared beef to a slow cooker. In the same skillet, combine beef broth, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours until the beef is tender.

Mash the Potatoes
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and heavy cream. Mash until smooth. Season with salt to taste.
Sauteed Green Beans

Sauté the Beans
Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
