Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt.
- 3
- 4
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
- 5
Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Pizza Assembly
- 6
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- 7
Roll Out the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 8
Add Tomato Sauce
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 9
Add Cheese
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, covering it completely.
- 10
Add Pepperoni
Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.
- 11
Add Parmesan
Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top for added flavor.
- 12
Bake the Pizza
Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 13
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
