Method
Pizza Base Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Pizza Assembly
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- 6
Roll Out Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 12-inch circle.
- 7
Add Garlic Oil
Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or a piece of parchment paper. Brush the surface with garlic oil.
- 8
Add Toppings
Evenly distribute the pepperoni, pancetta, salami, and shredded mozzarella over the base. Sprinkle grated parmesan and sliced Calabrian chili on top.
- 9
Bake Pizza
Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- 10
Finish with Basil and Honey
Remove the pizza from the oven, top with fresh basil leaves, and drizzle with honey for a sweet finish.
- 11
Slice and Serve
Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes, slice it up, and serve hot.
