Method
Brioche Bun Directions
- 1
Prepare the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add the eggs and melted butter, and mix well.
- 2
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the yeast mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
- 5
Shape the Buns
After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6
Second Rise
Cover the shaped buns with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- 7
Bake the Buns
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before slicing.
Burger Directions
- 8
Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the peppered bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 9
Form the Patties
In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
- 10
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach desired doneness.
- 11
Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Gruyère cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
- 12
Assemble the Burger
Slice the brioche buns and spread the burger sauce on the bottom half. Place the patty with melted cheese, add crispy bacon, and top with roasted red onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.
Parsley Fries Directions
- 13
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 14
Season and Bake
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the potato strips with olive oil and salt, then spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 15
Bake the Fries
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- 16
Add Parsley
Once the fries are done, remove from the oven and toss with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
