Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with cold water, about an inch above the eggs. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Simmer and Cool

Once the water reaches a boil, cover the saucepan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool for about 5-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Peel the Eggs

Once cooled, gently tap the eggs on a hard surface and peel them under running water to help remove the shells easily.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Filling

Cut the peeled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks. Place the yolks in a medium bowl and mash them with a fork.

  2. 5

    Mix Ingredients

Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Fill the Egg Whites

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed-out egg whites.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle paprika over the filled eggs for a classic look. Optionally, chop chives or parsley and sprinkle on top for added flavor and color.
