Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Black Tea

Boil water and steep the black tea in a cup for 4-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag and let it cool.

  2. 2

    Mix the Base

In a mixing glass, combine the cooled black tea with raw sugar and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Bitters

Add 2 dashes of non-alcoholic aromatic bitters to the mixture and stir well.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Garnish

Express the lemon and orange peels over the drink to release their oils and then add them to the mixture along with the Luxardo cherry.

  5. 5

    Smoke the Drink

In a smoking box or using a smoking gun, place bourbon-soaked oak chips and ignite them to create smoke. Capture the smoke in a glass and place the smoked drink inside to infuse.

  6. 6

    Serve

Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with additional lemon and orange peels if desired.
