Bacon in a Glass
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bacon Glaze
In a saucepan, combine honey, bourbon, brown sugar, and water. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay the bacon strips on the prepared baking sheet and brush the honey bourbon glaze over the bacon. Sprinkle ground black pepper on top. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.
- 3
Prepare the Peanut Butter Accompaniment
While the bacon is baking, prepare the peanut butter. You can serve it in a small bowl or spread it on toast, depending on your preference.
- 4
Serve
Once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve the bacon strips in a glass or on a plate with the peanut butter accompaniment on the side.
