Vegetables

Method

Preparation of Vegetables

1

Prepare the Tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water. Remove the stems, and chop them into bite-sized pieces.

2

Prepare the Cucumbers

Wash the cucumber and peel it if desired. Cut the cucumber lengthwise, remove the seeds if necessary, and then chop it into half-moon slices.

3

Prepare the Onion

Peel the red onion and slice it thinly. You can soak the slices in cold water for a few minutes to reduce the sharpness if desired.

Dressing Preparation

4

Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is well combined.

Combining Ingredients

5

Combine Salad Ingredients

In a large salad bowl, add the chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, and sliced red onion.

6

Add Dressing

Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients in the bowl. Toss gently to ensure all the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.

Serving

7

Serve the Salad

Serve immediately for the best flavor, or let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
