Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso with dark rum or coffee liqueur. Set aside to cool.
- 2
Make the Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until well combined.
- 3
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the coffee mixture, ensuring not to soak them. Lay the dipped ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of a rectangular dish.
- 4
Layer the Cream
Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining cream mixture.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
