Ingredients for Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake
Method
Directions for Making Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 2
Prepare the Brownie Base
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate chips together over low heat until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. Gradually add cocoa powder, flour, and salt, and mix until just combined.
- 3
Bake the Brownie Layer
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remove from the oven and let cool while preparing the cheesecake layer.
- 4
Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- 5
Combine Layers
Spread the cheesecake filling over the cooled brownie layer in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- 6
Bake the Cheesecake
Bake the cheesecake in the oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for an hour.
- 7
Chill and Serve
Remove the cheesecake from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set. Once chilled, remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve.
