Preparation
- 1
Brew Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. If desired, add coffee liqueur to the coffee for added flavor.
- 2
Prepare Egg Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and granulated sugar together until pale and thick. This should take about 5 minutes.
- 3
Add Mascarpone
Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg mixture until smooth.
- 4
Whip Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Lay them in a single layer in a rectangular dish.
- 6
Layer Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of ladyfingers.
- 7
Repeat Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture. Smooth the top with a spatula.
