Burger and Fries
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Fries
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Cut the potatoes into thin strips to make fries. In a bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. Spread them out on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- 2
Cook the Burger
While the fries are baking, shape the ground beef into two patties. Season each patty with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- 3
Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns if desired. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the burger patty with melted cheese, and top with tomato slices and ketchup. Place the top bun on and press down gently.
- 5
Serve
Serve the hamburgers hot alongside the crispy fries.
