Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with salt, pepper, and half of the chopped cilantro. Mix well.
- 2
Prepare the Tortillas
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a skillet. Lightly fry each corn tortilla for about 10-15 seconds on each side until pliable. Drain on paper towels.
- 3
Assemble the Flautas
Place about 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the lower third of each tortilla. Roll up tightly and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
- 4
Fry the Flautas
In a large skillet, heat the remaining vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the flautas in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Avocado and Sour Cream
Slice the avocados and prepare them for serving. In a small bowl, stir the sour cream with lime juice and the remaining cilantro.
- 6
Serve
Arrange the flautas on a plate, serve with sliced avocado, and drizzle with the sour cream mixture.
