Method

Burger Patty Preparation

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well using your hands until the spices are evenly distributed.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a patty that is about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Patties

3

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

5

Toast the Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

6

Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty. Add a slice of tomato and a few rings of onion. Top with ketchup and mustard to taste, then cover with the top half of the bun.
