Method

Smoothie Base

  1. 1

    Prepare fruit

If using fresh mango, peel, pit, and dice enough to measure 1.5 cups. Slice half a banana (about 1/2 cup). If you prefer a thicker smoothie, measure 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks and omit some ice later.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

Add the diced mango, sliced banana, 1 cup plain yogurt, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup), and 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice into a blender.

Texture & Chill

  1. 3

Add 3 ice cubes to the blender (or reduce to 1–2 cubes if you used frozen mango). Secure the lid.

  2. 4

Blend on high for 45–60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk and blend again. If it’s too thin, add a few more frozen mango chunks or a couple more ice cubes and pulse to thicken.

Serve & Garnish

  1. 5

Pour the smoothie into two tall glasses (or one large glass). Taste and adjust sweetness with an additional 1/2 teaspoon honey if desired.

  2. 6

Garnish each glass with a mint sprig and a mango slice on the rim if using. Serve immediately with a straw.
