Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tofu

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut it into bite-sized cubes.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Wash and chop all the vegetables into uniform sizes for even cooking.

  3. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Tofu

Add the tofu cubes to the pan and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove from pan and set aside.

  3. 6

    Sauté Aromatics

In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 7

    Add Vegetables

Add the sliced onion, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and snap peas to the pan. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  5. 8

    Combine Tofu and Sauce

Return the cooked tofu to the pan and pour the sauce over the stir-fry. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  6. 9

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve hot over rice or noodles, if desired.
