Method

Preparation of Fish

  1. 1

    Cut the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, cut the fresh Ahi tuna into ½ inch cubes. Ensure the knife is clean to maintain the freshness of the fish.

  2. 2

    Mix the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce and sesame oil. Whisk together until well blended.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Tuna

Place the cubed tuna in the bowl with the marinade. Gently toss to ensure all pieces are coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preparation of Vegetables

  1. 4

    Prepare the Avocado

Carefully slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh out with a spoon. Cut the flesh into cubes.

  2. 5

    Slice the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly and slice it into thin rounds. Set aside.

  3. 6

    Chop the Green Onions

Chop the green onions into small pieces, both the white and green parts, and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a large serving bowl, combine the marinated tuna, avocado, cucumber, and seaweed salad. Gently toss to mix all the ingredients together.

  2. 8

    Season the Poke

Sprinkle sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, and salt over the poke mixture. Toss gently to combine evenly.

  3. 9

    Serve

Transfer the poke to individual serving bowls and garnish with additional sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Enjoy your Hawaiian poke immediately!
