Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Fries

  1. 1

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Season the Fries

In a large bowl, toss the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Bake the Fries

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 4

    Mix the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.

  2. 5

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 2 equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 6

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, adding cheese slices during the last minute of cooking if desired.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned.

  2. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, a cooked beef patty, slices of tomato, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard.

  3. 9

    Finish the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with fries on the side.
