Flatbread Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 5
Shape Flatbreads
Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle.
- 6
Cook Flatbreads
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for about 2 minutes on each side until golden and puffed.
