Directions
Prepare the Fish Patties
In a large bowl, combine the fresh fish fillets, citrus zest, dill, salt, black pepper, bread crumbs, and beaten egg. Mix until well combined and form into two patties.
Cook the Patties
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through and golden brown.
Make the Basil Aioli
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped basil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Assemble the Burger
Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the fish patty, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of basil aioli. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve
Serve the burger with garlic salted french fries or mixed greens on the side.
